Revell Dale Earnhardt Wrangler Monte Carlo SS kit issued in 2002 as part of a “Dale Earnhardt Collection by Revell.” Kit #85-2171. In 1987, at the famous “Select” race in Charlotte, the racing world witnessed one of the most intense on-track battles ever seen. After Bill Elliott made heavy contact with Earnhardt’s car, forcing him off the track, Dale continued charging across the infield grass, back onto the pavement, reclaimed his lead and went on to win the historic event. It became known as "The Pass in the Grass." The box top art by Sam Bass is repeated on the box bottom without any of the lettering.
